The Reeves Foundation
Samuel J. Reeves, Jr., and wife Margaret established the Reeves Foundation in 1966.
A Dover, Ohio native, Mr. Reeves was an industrialist and banker. Mrs. Reeves was employed in the trust department of the Reeves Banking & Trust Co.
Other contributors for the initial funding of the Reeves Foundation came from the estates of Mr. Reeves' sisters, Margaret Jane and Helen F. Reeves.
The mission of the Reeves Foundation is to promote the health, education, and culture of the people of Tuscarawas County by supporting those organizations that help themselves and those that help others.
The Reeves Foundation funds charitable/non-profit organizations with Tax Exempt status under the terms of IRS Code 501(C) (3) to entities in Tuscarawas County, or having presence in Tuscarawas County. We are proud to partner with a variety of organizations to support our community. Our partnerships enable us to expand our reach and provide even more resources and services to those in need. Since inception, the Reeves Foundation has awarded over $42,000,000 to health and youth agencies, education and public administration. Priority is given to capital improvement projects serving Tuscarawas County residents.
