The Founders

Samuel J. Reeves, Jr., and wife Margaret established the Reeves Foundation in 1966.

A Dover, Ohio native, Mr. Reeves was an industrialist and banker.  Mrs. Reeves was employed in the trust department of the Reeves Banking & Trust Co.

Other contributors for the  initial funding of the Reeves Foundation came from the estates of Mr. Reeves' sisters, Margaret Jane and Helen F. Reeves.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Reeves Foundation is to promote the health, education, and culture of the people of Tuscarawas County by supporting those organizations that help themselves and those that help others.
